Low end for the high seas
If you’re looking for a marine sub amp that can run a high-performance subwoofer, JL Audio’s M1000/1v2 will deliver up to 1,000 watts RMS from a low-profile package that you can tuck into a lot of places on your boat. The durable white and gray powder-coat finish looks sharp and nautical, while the gasket-covered control panel and stainless steel hardware help it stand up to the extremes of life on the water.
What’s under the hood
This amp uses JL Audio’s NexD™ ultra-high-speed switching amplifier design, resulting in low distortion and cool operation. Dual-range, differential-balanced inputs can handle speaker-level signals, so this amp will work in most systems. Signal or DC-offset sensing turn-on lets you install the amp without needing to run a separate turn-on lead back to the fuse box or receiver.
Controls and adjustments
You can adjust the variable low-pass filter and switchable subsonic filter to maximize the performance of your subwoofer and its enclosure. An optional HD-RLC wired remote level control (sold separately) lets you control the amount of bass from the helm. Note: This marine amp is not waterproof, and should not be installed in a place where it’s likely to get wet.
